2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Platinum

Ford announced early last month they would be introducing the Platinum version of their Super Duty trucks.  This has been offered on the Ford light series trucks since 2009 and will now be offered on the F-250, F-350 and F-450.  Read more after the break...

There will be many distinguishing factors for the Platinum to account for the $50,000 starting price tag.  These upgrades include 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and chrome all around from mirrors to the back tailgate.  A new center console has been introduced on the 2013 Super Duty with the Ford My touch system that includes an eight inch touch screen and new buttons that can be used with your work gloves still on.

The F-Series Platinum will be offered in five colors, these include White Platinum, Ingot Silver, Tuxedo Black, Kodiak Brown, and Ruby Red.  The engines offered will stay the same from the current F- Series trucks.  Buyers can choose from a 385-hp, 405 lb-ft 6.2 liter gas powered V-8 or a 6.7 liter Powerstroke turbodiesel that has 400 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque.  Both engines come with a six speed automatic transmission and either two or four wheel drive.

In case you decide to chauffeur around the pope with your horses you can pick one of these up in the fourth quarter of 2012.
